Slinging Ink Tattoo Expo Day 3

Day 3 was a little more relaxed or should I say lazy from my birthday celebration the night before.

We actually got some time to walk around and  meet some of the artist. Ms. Shorty was our spokesmodel for the day and Mr Siego's personal assistant.

We started the day off by tattooing the guardian angel and a hibiscus flower and I followed with a sword tattoo and finished off the day with a butter fly.

It was a great weekend and we hope to see all of our clients again at the next convention.

 

Slinging Ink Tattoo Expo 2010 Day 2

 The convention seemed a lil smaller than we expected but despite the smaller crowd this year, we still managed to stay busy and at one point even over booked.

 

I got off to quick start with a classic cursive script, this was just a warm up for a portrait of Ben Franklin and Killer Chef piece. 

Lupio wasnt so lucky, his warm up was a full color "Samurai Rose" 

followed by a Nightmare Before Christmas tattoo. 

We where so busy we ended up doing a "threesome"with a client just to make sure we got every one in.

                

It was a great day the place was packed and we even got a visit from some of our friends and esteemed clients from Austin.

The highlight of the weekend was winning a the 3rd place award for best portrait. 

Its not 1st place but considering it was an incomplete tattoo my first time competing in that category.

I would like to thank the Acadamy..j/k but I wanted to thank all of our Austin friends that came out to support us and special thanks to my friend Gerald for helping me out throughout the day.

Slinging Ink Tattoo Expo Day1

Day 1 had a slow start due to the change in location, we where prepared to make the best of it. Its usually a little slow the first day so we got  a chance to hang out and mingle with other studios and potential clients. 

Ms. Blue Jeanie set up our display and held down the booth.
She also and had some of her hand crafted flower hair clips for sale and were a big hit with the ladies.
According to her we needed a feminine touch.
Soon to be at a BlindSide near you.

Fortunately our good friend Victor Fuentes, showed up and got me to put some hours in on his in-progress back piece. We attracted alot of attention and where quickly booked up with appointments for the next day.

Valentines Day Tattoos

Our friend Jaime, set up a special appointment for him and his lady for Valentines day. 

He wanted to get the key to Crystals heart tattooed on him. 

Lupio and Wisdom decided to collaborate on the designs. When they arrived for their appointment Lupio was still tattooing a prior appointment. So to make this valentines day tattoo experience even more memorable we had them wait so the can get tattooed at the same time.

 Lupio and tattooed the key on Jaime and Wisdom designed and tattooed the heart on Crystal.
